Music Ministry
The music ministry at St. Francis is open to any and all who have a calling to serve, a knack for music, a sincere interest in gaining new experiences, and a desire to be part of a Christian community.
The music ministry at St. Francis is based on a voice/guitar/piano sound that focuses on the contemporary side of Catholic Church music standards.
Music volunteers are free to serve at any Mass.
Our resources include
- Gather Comprehensive -- our primary hymnal
- Choral (SATB) selections
- Contemporary supplements
- Gospel music
- Spiritual music
We always welcome additional instrumentalists. The following often round out our sound:
- flute
- violin
- bass
- drums
- harmonica
- your instrument here.
We rehearse every Wednesday at 7pm in the church.
We also gather for Mass a half-hour early to prepare and to do some rehearsing.
(If you wish to be involved with the music ministry but aren't able to attend practice Wednesday evenings, please contact the Music Director and something can be worked out.)
